The CLEAR Coalition is committed to a sustainable budget that funds essential public services, protects family-sustaining, middle-class jobs and ensures that we have a fair system of taxes in Pennsylvania. We support identifying and supporting additional revenue streams that support the critical services the Commonwealth provides.
The CLEAR Coalition is committed to working with the Shapiro administration and all members of the Legislature in 2025 to deliver:
- A 2025/26 state budget that supports Pennsylvania workers and their families
- Long-overdue legislation to provide public employees with OSHA-level protections.
- Cost-of-living increases for Pre-Act 9 retirees as well as other municipal and state retirees
- Adequate and equitable funding for public k-12 schools and public higher education
- An increase in the state’s minimum wage to a living wage of at least $20/hr and legislation to empower local elected officials to establish an appropriate wage for their constituents.
- Revenue-generating legislation to tax and regulate skills games, ensuring protection of Pennsylvania Lottery revenue and jobs
- Authorization of recreational-use cannabis that would generate additional revenue for the Commonwealth, including provisions that would prioritize licenses for pro-union employees
